🔌 High-Speed 10G SFP+ Twinax Cable (0.5m) for Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and More Review

I bought this DAC cable to connect my USG-PRO-4 to US-16-150W. I was a bit skeptical at first as this is an SFP+ DAC and both devices only have SFP ports. But I haven't found any suitable SFP DACs. Fortunately, this DAC works perfectly.

Used to connect Unifi UDM Pro to USW Aggregation, mainly because the 0.5m DAC cable that Ubiquiti sells between them does not is working. The USW-AGG is used as a downlink to other home network switches. works well, and as far as I can tell it's hitting the full 10Gbps speed.

I am using two of these on 1G for a trunk between UniFi and an Aruba switch. Works great so far. Just remember to set the speed/duplex manually instead of auto-negotiate when using it under 10G. I had to run the unsupported transceiver permissions command on Aruba before it worked, there was no problem on the UniFi side.

Unfortunately this is an issue on the UDM Pro page from the forums. This edition was published more than 5 months ago. Even if you manually negotiate the SFP+ UDM Pro port to 1G, the switch will disconnect every few seconds. I had to order Ubiquiti's own 1/g SFPs and then some LC-LC fiber cables.

Purchased based on other reviews saying it worked with their Brocade hardware. Unfortunately it does NOT work with my ruckus icx 7150-c12p and the Trendnet 10Gb sfp+ network adapter. Next time I will order a much more expensive DAC that specifically lists Ruckus/Brocade compatibility. However, I have no complaints about the cable itself. Appears to be well built.

I have 1M and 2M cables. I have them connected to Solarflare Nics and working through a Mikrotik switch with 10 gigabit uplinks. The cables were fully compatible with both devices and immediately caught the eye. These SFP adapters offer incredible value for money. They free up valuable Ethernet ports for use with network devices instead of using them as uplinks. They cost much less than SFP GBIC and LC-LC fiber cables.
