Jebao CP 120 Cross Maker Controller Review

Very reliable and powerful shaft generator. This is the second one I got for my coral business. Ideal for use in shallow or regular sized tanks. Easy to install and operate. The first was so good I ordered another for the second tank. The first lasted more than two years and is still making waves.

I ordered this on August 1, 2020 and received it in a few days. Today I was watching TV when I heard popping noises and saw flames and sparks flying from under the tank cabinet. Luckily my surge protector worked and saved everything else from shorting out. I posted a question asking for a refund and my question was removed. Don't buy this Chinese junk!

The power supply that comes with this pump looks like a regular laptop power supply. I say that because Jebao packaged this new pump with no power cord! Luckily I have spare computer power cords, so I plugged one in with no problems. But for anyone who doesn't have spare computer cables, you can have one handy. I deducted a star from this review because Jebao does not include a power cord.

I've had this for over a month and I still have no complaints. I've always wanted a Wave/Circle Maker but still couldn't afford one. It's quite strong like the others, I also had to turn the intensity down as my whole aquarium was rocking on the stand and my corals looked like they were caught in a storm. I had a spark issue as others have mentioned, but if you plug the controller into the power cord first before plugging it into the power supply it should be fine.

I only write about my Wavemaker. I'm on my way to a new one. I paid full price but the shaft generator I received looks like it was used. The tape on the box has marks from being removed and re-attached. The wave generator was still wet and someone had separated all the parts and put them back upside down. After a month of installing this rotating power supply on my 125 display (total system volume 200 gallons with tray), I am not disappointed with its performance. About a week into use I noticed a slight hum so I took it apart to see what was going on. Luckily it was just a small snail that got into one of the wheels. At first I thought it was a broken block, but after putting it back together I can say it's gone back to a whisper. Important Notes: - I recommend moving some sort of anemone…
