To update! USB connection keeps failing

I was hoping to use this KVM with my new ultrawide monitor. When I plugged it in, the permission was wrong and I couldn't get it to work. I returned the item assuming it does not support the 2560 x 1080 screen resolution. JideTech contacted me and asked me to check if the device was defective. I told them it's not a defect. It just didn't work with my monitor resolution. They then asked if I would try to reset the virtual monitor by holding the button for more than 5 seconds; The two LEDs on…

It doesn't work with a 2560 x 1080 screen

There are some vague instructions telling you to look for help online, but I haven't found the time to do so. It is NOT plug and play and not easy to set up for a large monitor. It sits unused in the corner but was not returned because it works if I take the time to jump through the hoops. If I had to do it again I would spend more money and I'm sure I would get something that worked as expected on the first try. And please note that this is high resolution at 30Hz. It makes everything snappy…

Working from home full time due to the pandemic is not that bad. My 32" Dell monitor [1] has dual HDMI inputs and built-in speakers [2] and I've connected it to both a Win10 Dell work laptop and a new Win10 Lenovo personal desktop. I leave my laptop open so I can use its screen. and a built-in keyboard and personal wireless trackball (small USB dongle), the desktop featured a wired keyboard and mouse that used the monitor as a hub. enough but i also had to move the trackball button as i hate…

Do these things have a timer?

Bought one of these on Nov 20th to improve home office situation (must love COVID work from home). Thing worked great for the first few months (although I had screen resolution issues for not reading the KVM specs - but that was MY fault), but then. 5 days after the end of the return window. for PC2 no longer works. Tried everything; Disconnect and reconnect all USB connections on both ends and replace the PC1/PC2 cables with KVM. Nothing worked. So, something is fried on the board, but I'm not

2 port HDMI switch - works well, good value

I have this to switch between my win 10 development pc with dual monitor setup and my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. After shrinking the screen, it looks fine and works clearly - a few things to pay attention to.1. My ThinkPad's built-in HDMI port didn't recognize the HDMI cable when it was plugged in - I had to use a mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter instead, which worked fine. I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078H57KMF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=12. Because it…
