Won't buy again

The remote itself seems sturdy and is almost identical to the original Chevrolet remote. It's good. Bad: It arrived with a dead battery. I contacted Keyless2Go support and was told that Revain's packaging is inadequate and allows for button pressing during storage and transport. I ended up having to buy a new battery before I could program and test the fob. Also remember that the key itself (the metal jackknife) is a blank and needs to be cut to your original key, so add another $15 to the…

Read the entire description and look at the picture of the product order.

I bought this key fob for a 2012 Chevy Equinox with electric lock, alarm and remote start. The one I had broke so all I had left was the part you put in the ignition to start the car. Not even the entire inverted part, just the cut out part. I took the pin out of the new key, put my little piece of key in it and put the pin back in. Do this carefully over the magnet to avoid losing the pin. For programming you will need 1 working old key and the new key you just bought. Step 1 = Start the car…

Save time and money. Avoid this product - they sent a defective Fob

This product seemed like a good deal compared to going to the dealer but it cost me money. They sent me my key fob, I cut it following the programming instructions on their website, but I couldn't program it. After several email exchanges and trying several other programming methods, they said that I would need to take my car to either a locksmith or dealer to have it programmed. So I went to the locksmith. He couldn't program it either and advised me to go to the dealer. So I went to the…

You get what you pay for.

So I got 2 of these, finally found a store willing to cut them for $40 each, one of them wasn't programmed at all no matter how hard I tried. Another made a program and I used it maybe 20 times from time to time? Then it won't work. I tapped it and after 3 or 4 tries it worked 3 or 4 more times. When I left the house today, on the way to Dr. Apt everything fine. I stopped at a shop on the way and when I got back to my car it wouldn't start. no matter what I do it won't start. I had to call and…

Easy to do for 2010 GMC Terrain

The remote came with no instructions, but from other posts on Revain I pretty much knew how to approach. Although I found a video on how to peel the buttons off a broken remote and replace them with a new one, I quickly tried to figure out that without the right hardware it was difficult. So I decided to see how to cut the key on a new device. The local locksmith said he didn't have the equipment and referred me to a mobile locksmith who specialized in these laser cutters and quoted me $65. So…
