I bought this key fob for a 2012 Chevy Equinox with electric lock, alarm and remote start. The one I had broke so all I had left was the part you put in the ignition to start the car. Not even the entire inverted part, just the cut out part. I took the pin out of the new key, put my little piece of key in it and put the pin back in.
