I can't believe how smoothly these needles go through the yarn. I have several sets of Chiaogoo DPNS needles and as much as I love them for large pieces like sleeves, they can't match the smoothness of these needles which are perfect for quick knitting. They only arrived yesterday so I haven't finished the sock yet but I knitted some DK cotton makeup remover pads and they almost fell off the needles. I can't recommend them enough, especially for the price. I sold the KP Nova Platina line.

Updated with IMPORTANT information! they were confiscated from me by airport security in Belgium. On this trip I took them through several airports in Europe and the US, but they were not allowed into Belgium. So for travel I switched to wooden knitting needles. I still loved them and may have to re-order them. I'm keeping 5 stars as it was my fault and not the needles! (I asked the TSA people to donate them to a good knitter.) To be honest, these are my first metal DPNs. I have always used bamboo for fear of losing stitches without additional friction. In any case, this set is perfect for my needs. The needles are stout, maybe a little heavier than I would have preferred for the largest diameter. The needles are fairly symmetrical. Not sure if this is an intended feature, but my needles have one end that is sharper and the other blunt. I found that good, depending on which yarn I use. I can definitely make the knit…
