Well-made Spindle

This is a well-made Spindle, although larger and heavier than intended. It's also not a typical spindle, so figuring out how to use it is a little harder for me. I found a video on YouTube but it didn't show everything about its use. I'm sure I'll get it and I've been weaving quite a bit of yarn from it over the past few days. It is notched, has no hook and turns upside down as usual. I'm not downplaying the issue, it's more due to my inexperience as a newbie with the spindle. I spin on wheels…

Spinner for beginners

This was my first spindle that I bought and I am very happy with it. I basically chose this because it's about half the price of the spindle at my local weaving shop and here at Revain. It was easy to assemble and has a very nice smooth finish. The spindle has a slot that you have to wrap the yarn around instead of a hook, but that wasn't a problem. My first spindle

Just spun my first homespun on the same spindle. The wood is smooth and very pretty (I'll try to upload a better photo if I can) and it worked great once I figured it all out, but the curl is way bigger than any I've seen and special heavy as others have mentioned. The weight didn't bother me too much as a beginner, but I did struggle with the spindle falling off at times because the fiber wasn't always held securely by a small notch.
