Superb Quality - Power & Hand Tools

This is a quality tool. Closer to the professional level than the consumer level. Fit and finish are first class. Construction and operation feel like tools that cost many times over. Easy to read scales. Acceleration at a given torque is very positive, even at the lowest torque settings. This is a precision tool and if treated as such I expect it to last a lifetime. Supplied with calibration certificate. Two-year guarantee if you register the device online with the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Faulty

Accidentally clipped trying to use. I didn't hear any clicks initially and tried using it with a much higher load. A 1/4-inch drive torque wrench is rated for 20-200 IN-lbs (which is approximately 1.6-16.7 FT-lbs). Do not use this to attempt to tighten oil drain plugs, which require approximately 30 ft-lb of torque. Based on my initial check, Ron and Rosemary at Lexivon contacted me and still sent me a replacement free of charge, which literally arrived the next day. Very impressed, the company

  • Useful for more than intended purpose

accurate range. Well tested, new.

1/4" 20-200 are very accurate right out of the box. Accuracy in the 20-200 range. Very impressive. Test results of new device see picture. A 1/2" EPauto is bad tested, but he's been at it for a few years now. It is best to test these inexpensive devices at least once a year. Or at least check your desired ft lbs if that matters. Testing is pretty easy if you have an accurate luggage scale. watch online video. Lengthen the wrench with the pipe to reduce the pounds required. Always hold the…

you get what you pay for looks good i might add

ok first let me say the product was decent i think except a few things first that its not a click torque wrench, because it doesn't click when you get your desired torque that alone should get the 3 stars I gave to 1 but sometimes there is a very faint click which is another matter and I know there are many offshore torque wrenches out there who are like that, so don't leave this one for you, but the mic is marked (IN/LB), the actual way of saying this, and the mic dial should be both (LB/IN)…

The ratchet function keeps changing direction if I use it too much.

***** Updated! I contacted the seller and he was willing to replace the item under warranty. The new ratchet doesn't have the problems the old one had. I am impressed with their customer service. ***** This product looks very nice, love the color scheme. A month of average usage worked fine. Then the ratchet changes direction from forward to backward! I was surprised when it happened the first time and thought I might have accidentally moved the lever. This happened more often when I was using…

Works great ratchet when set up like it should.

If you are buying this for a bike the Nm scale is printed on the underside of the turning handle. Simply remove the retaining ring, turn the handle upside down and put the retaining ring back on. It works exactly as it's supposed to. Just gently pull the handle and it will loosen at the installation point, preventing you from over-tightening the screw. I saw no need for a $100 Park Tool torque wrench when I only had to use a wrench once in a blue moon. But I have a carbon fiber bike and it is…

Great little torque wrench

Everything seems perfect about this torque wrench. I just sealed the timing cover on my 2001 Ford Esc 3.0L and used it to tighten the timing chain cover (front), valve covers and upper and lower intake manifolds. The settings are easy to read thanks to the black background and yellow markers. . The voice lock mechanism is a bit wonky, but it works. I had trouble with a couple of outlets that unblocked easily. Maybe these nests were too tight because all my old nests opened easily. To test…

Works best with wrenches

I've been an auto mechanic since I was old enough to know what tools are for, so I've used every torque wrench made for over 40 years; Snap (frequently and awaiting replacement) on Mac, Matco, Craftsman, Progressive, Proto, CDI, Williams, AC Delco etc etc. From idler beams to electronic/digital and everything else but mostly those "click" units. I bought one of these to work on my MTB projects and nothing tells me not to give this tool a good review. I've had it not long ago, but have used it…
