The first thing we noticed is that it's not the one in the photo. Second, the voice doesn't work for 70% of the letters. And randomly says a letter (out of the 5 letters she actually says) when there is a small shadow over the board. As many others have said, it's a deep male voice devoid of any enthusiasm. At first I thought he sang the alphabet as soon as all the letters were in place because at the very bottom of the board it was written "Now I know my alphabet, next time don't sing along." I bought 2 of these as gifts for two children who just turned 1 year old. I gave my child a magnetic board for his first birthday. But they don't do that anymore. I liked the fact that the holes for the letters are the same shape as the letters themselves (which is what I was looking for). And letters made of thick wood that last a long time.
