So much better than the original.

When Midwest released their first line of CARB cans, the jets were very bad. Not the worst I've used (it would have been an old sceptre, the new scepter tried that design but is a lot thinner than these) but far from 'good'. All the originals I have now are broken, most of them because the top of the spout came loose when the plastic around the nib failed. This is a huge improvement. Durable and relatively easy to use. Midwest Can just settled a major EPA lawsuit over their non-emissions…

Suitable but the design is not what I need.

My old grommet broke. It fits my gas tank. However, there are two things I don't really like: 1) It's stiff, so it's harder for me to fit a full tank of gas in my garden tractor. My old spout was flexible so I could maneuver the spout into the gas tank opening and then tilt the gas canister to allow the gas to flow. In this case I have to hold the gas can at an angle so that the spout falls into the hole. 2) He uses the trigger to release the gas. The trigger idea is good for a car, but not for

Difficult to use, best in rough plumbing

EPA standards requiring safety spouts are terrible. Like any safety spout these days, they are designed for non-vented canisters and using them will inevitably result in you spilling fuel everywhere to prevent fuel vapors from escaping. These spouts compare relatively well to spouts from other manufacturers. . The seals are thick and the fuel release mechanism basically works. I have a few issues: 1) The plastic part you have to snap into to push the plunger and release the fuel requires you to

    And finally, a functional spout

This Midwest Can spout should have taken care of its gas and diesel jugs from the start. While it's not perfect, it's a big improvement. They should, but don't seem to be offering them as free replacements for the awful original spouts. The original spouts had too many problems to list. Perhaps most notably, they poured the fuel very slowly. When I timed it, it took me 7 minutes and 58 seconds to pour 5 gallons with the original spout. This new design used the same 5 gallons in 2 minutes and 25
