Great lens for lenses

Excellent build quality. I'll leave the discussion about the sharpness to others, but I think it's very good. I was impressed by the lack of distortion commonly found in ultra wide angle lenses. You can shoot at an angle above or below the horizon line with virtually no distortion. Other reviewers complained about bright reflections from the sun, but I didn't find this an issue; Folks, if you point it at the sun, you're going to have problems. Very happy with this lens; compares very well to…

Excellent Olympus Wide Angle Lens for Micro 4/3 System

I bought this lens to use with my EM1 Mk II camera for use on a cruise and land tour to Greece and Italy due to the crowded conditions at most of the sights that we would visit. In short, this is a fantastic lens with excellent image resolution and aperture. Along with the in-body image stabilization, this is a great low-light lens too. For landscapes, this is an excellent wide-angle system. On the Greek islands and historical sites in Italy, this allowed for shots that 'normal' lenses couldn't

Bought for dog photography and LOVE it

I spent 24 hours with this lens and LOVED it. I wasn't sure if it would be fast enough. Dogs move fast. These three photos are 14mm, 8mm and 7mm. My dog sat in front of me when I pet her and you get distortion, but that's why I got it - I love how exaggerated her facial features look. I know that if a dog has a muzzle, the muzzle will probably get bigger. I currently own a 12mm Prime, 15mm Prime and 25mm PRO Prime as well as a 45mm Prime and use this lens frequently. heavy lens. But I have an…

The best lens for GH5! for photo lenses

If you have a Panasonic GH5 and need a wider lens than the Leica 12-35 II; This is the lens for you. Let me just go ahead and say yes it is quite expensive. However, if I could do it all over again, this would be the first lens I would buy. And here's why: Olympus made this lens so sharp it's ridiculous. It has a great color and a very solid construction. I photograph many interiors of real estate and use them in a wide variety of areas. Distortion occurs in ultra-wide-angle shots and indoor…

Keystone control makes this lens a pleasure to use

I suspect anyone interested in purchasing this lens has read most of the reviews in places like DPReview. They praise the lens as long as the sun is out of the frame (i.e. lens flare is a problem for it, and for all fast ultra-wide angle lenses in fact). I've used this lens to take several hundred shots and agree with their results. I had no issues with flare and I find this lens amazing for an f2.8 ultra wide lens. One thing I noticed while using the lens is that the lens doesn't feel as big…

New arrived with part loose

This review is more about Olympus quality control standards than the M.Zuiko 7-14mm f2.8 Pro which by all accounts is one of the best MFT wide angle lenses . just on the market. As the name suggests, the lens came with one loose part, namely a plastic ring that fits over the outermost lens and whose purpose seems to be to cover some screws and otherwise seal the inside of the lens. dust lens. I reinstalled the ring and although 3 lugs come off it clearly intended to fill some gaps this never…

Great ultra wide angle lens with some limitations

I was looking for an amazing ultra wide angle lens for video work with gimbal stabilization. I have a Zhiyun Weebill Lab which can handle a decent weight but is a bit limited in the balance room for heavy front cameras. My choice for Cinema EOS and adapted GH cameras was my Tokina 11-20mm for APSC. With acceleration on the GH5, this lens is too heavy. So I tested three native MFT mount ultra wide lenses to replace them for IS work and used Tokina as a benchmark to compare them all. Overall, the
