I currently have an Elgato Eve Motion (motion only) and iHome SmartMonitor (motion/temp/humidity/light/sound) so it's cheap in comparison. (a) Movement: quite sensitive. The movement seems to unravel fairly quickly (a few seconds) and unlike Eve, there is no way to adjust the time to make this movement sticky. You can see the movement history but you have to use the native ONVIS app. More on this app later (b) Temperature: Fairly accurate sensor. I found that iHome's temperature was 2 degrees…

Very disappointed best in Outdoor Décor

I had high hopes for the Onvis smart motion detector but it turned out to be a very disappointing piece of junk. I needed a smart motion detector for my garage that would turn on the lights when someone walked through the door. Setup was pretty easy: put the batteries in, then use the Home app to scan the code and set it up on my network. Once it was set up, I created an automation script that turned on two of my ceiling lights in the garage and one light on my desktop when motion was detected.

Comes with limitations Bluetooth

I had high hopes for this motion sensor as it got rave reviews from many people. workshop experience. For now, let me stick to the good things. I was able to connect the sensor to my home kit's network in less than 10 seconds by scanning the QR code on the side of the box with the iPhone Home.app. Brilliant. From then on everything seemed to work as intended. Brilliant. The sensor could travel 35 feet into the garage from my house through the back door. As far as I could tell, the connection…

Hardware good, manufacturer application bad

With Onvis you get a motion sensor, temperature sensor and humidity sensor. This helps reduce the number of individual sensors you need to purchase if you need these features. This is the only Homekit device I've seen that uses Bluetooth 5.0. Having just received it, I can't yet say how long the batteries will last when the automation is running. This device is powered by 2 AAA batteries. The battery compartment is very difficult to open. The problem with the battery compartment is the cover…
