Original MantleClip Pack Brass Review

I bought these after seeing great reviews and am not disappointed. For years we have struggled with weighted suspenders that often fall off depending on what you put in the stockings. These holders also seem to cling to thinly fringed robes. Good design. Useful purchase!

Our dress has no protrusions, just a perfect 90 degree angle. As another reviewer mentioned, they will still work great with a little tweaking. They are very heavy and well made. Worth the price. If you don't have a lip you just need to bend the front side so it's flatter to fit the 90 degree angle. I attach a photo.

Very nice. I am very happy with the coat clips. They have a soft plastic to protect the wood. I ordered the brass color and they look great. Note: My mantel is down. That's what I thought about what they would do. at the bottom. I didn't think they would fit, but after reading many reviews and questions and answers I figured it would work. They fit very well and my kids are happy their stockings are hanging and no more pins.

These turned out to be perfect! They are solid and durable. They just about match my 3" thick robe (see photo). There is a transparent rubber coating that protects the wood from scratches and the clip from slipping. Polished brass looks high quality so I think other colors look good too .A bit pricey for 4 garters but good quality for the price.They were packaged very well too.I would buy them again if I needed more!

I ordered the clips with a shiny brass finish. My dress is a 2 7/8" thick flat dress. This clip doesn't fit without a serious alteration. I formed a 4" x 2 7/8" wooden mandrel with 1/2" corners, got out the urethane coated hammers and got to work. The base metal is probably brass and was easy to shape without damaging the surface .Ten minutes to shape and another five minutes to fit the robe.My wife thinks they look great and now "fit" and are very strong.

I ordered these clips because I already had the copper set on my bathrobe and I really like them. But when I received the package I didn't receive the brasses I ordered. I received the can. I can't return them because I need them for a party so I opened the box and used them even though they don't match. But your team needs to label products better. It was spectacular. I did NOT have high hopes even after reading many good reviews but they lasted great all Christmas. There was no damage, stains or anything on our fireplace even with our 4 year old constantly taking his stockings off and on, and the stockings held up very well even when stuffed full. We had one of the 6 that popped out a couple of times but we only needed 5 so we replaced it with an extra one and no more problems so maybe one got bent during shipping or something. Anyway…

I bought eight from Revain/Haute Decor to use on my oak mantle (1 1/4 inch thick). They are made from very durable metal with a shiny brass finish. The two areas that make contact with the coat have a clear plastic pad (you can only see the pad in the product photo). I modified mine by squeezing the small loop a little tighter with less slack to allow the stockings don't slip out. A pair of ChannelLocks with plastic on the jaws protected the brass finish. We tried different garter belts but they never worked for us. The last garters were weighed. They worked well but weren't secure. If a child pulled on the stocking, or if you put anything in the stocking that was even slightly weighty, the stocking would just fall off and ruin our hardwood floors.
