Don't buy steering and suspension tools

I can't believe how horribly this tool was made. With dowel pins that bend because the lock nut is tightened to 200 ft-lbs, you need to rethink how you make this tool.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Job done, but the $50 disposable tool is useless.

Pins cut off on first use. The torque on the 2WD front wheel bearing nut is about 200 ft-lbs, since the torque wrench clicked a few pins just broke. Job done, but the $50 disposable tool is useless.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Ok

Worked great for Tacoma Prerunner 2007

Tool fits perfectly. The pins are a bit flimsy, but even on impact they held up to changing both bearings and were just beginning to bend when I tightened the last one, but I doubt that would happen with the right ratchet and vise. Much better than buying expensive tools from Toyota

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Some bugs

Best of its kind Best in the Tools and Equipment category

I bought 2 more sockets for Toyota and they were both terrible. None of the pins aligned and they broke easily. I use them commercially so they train daily and THIS was perfect. The pins were properly aligned and the tool easily handled repeated torque adjustments of 203 lb-ft of torque with no issues. If you want one that does it right, get this one.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Frequency

Works as intended after being modified for multiple uses.

Also have this 4 pin socket. A quick trip to my local mount and I installed solid pins before using them for the first time. Seems like a crap but what can you expect from Interwebs. Thanks to the lever and the second hand holding the nest and the spindle fixed in the vice, this nest was quickly removed and installed. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • will be added later
