Application was easy

In a YouTube video I noticed that snow plow axles must have such a product to keep the road from freezing. The price was reasonable and considering I had a new snow blower it was the right time to apply. The application was easy. I wore gloves.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Permatex is a brand you can trust!

I use this Permatex product on my 1/5 scale straight steam locomotive. At a saturated steam pressure of 120 psi. inches and over 320 degrees Fahrenheit, a quality anti-seize product is an absolute must if you ever hope to take anything apart in the future.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not sure

Beware! Read the container size (4 oz)! This is not a special aluminum anti-seize coating. This is the usual gray multi-function piece. Here at Revain you can buy twice as much (8 ounces) for less. There are only three types of anti-seize Permatex {Common (grey bottle), Copper (white bottle) and Nickel (half gray half blue bottle). Do not be fooled. I was.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Almost ok

An absolute must for aluminum engines

Excellent. What many people don't realize is that this is required whenever a steel fastener is inserted into an aluminum block. Prevents spark plugs from sticking in aluminum heads. I use this product on any bracket that comes in contact with aluminum, especially after my alternator bolt is glued to the aluminum engine block. To fix it I had to use a Time-Sert thread repair kit which costs about $90. Also feel free to use this for fasteners that may freeze from corrosion.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Great item and worth the price

I have used the lamp version of this product a number of times. I'm a big proponent of using anticonvulsants. Especially with things like spark plugs that you know you're about to remove. But it's not just about removal. This is the quality of lubricant I like when installing used nuts and bolts that may be worn or slightly rusty. Makes them a lot easier to start manually so you spend less time screwing in those hard-to-reach places. Having the product in a container with a brush makes it much…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Useless features

After encountering some very difficult suspension bolts (jammed by rust and dirt) a few years ago I decided to use these for all high risk bolts. All signs point to it doing what it's supposed to - I recently loosened a couple of the hanger bolts on my '96 pickup that had ant-seize applied to it years ago and it came off easily without the use of a percussion gun. - вы, конечно, не хотите использовать это на всем - некоторые болты, которые слегка затянуты и не склонны к заеданию, могут не…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Almost never

Great price more than you need

I use this material for threading spark plugs and bolts that get hot. Anti-seize is used to prevent hot and cold threads from becoming stuck and becoming impossible to remove. When you change spark plugs, you need these things. As mentioned on other posters, PepBoys etc sell tubes of this for $5 for a small 0.5 ounce tube. I refuse to pay $5 for a tiny tube of the same when $5 for this bottle. I bought it knowing I would have a lot more than I needed for spark plugs, but also knowing that I…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Weight

I tend to complicate my car's work...until now.

After replacing almost everything in my '90 Chevy K2500 pickup from the engine to the brakes, I figured next time I need to do something I'll make sure no circuit breaker is needed is with pipe extension. Now I use this for almost anything that has a part that I want to remove later and having done that I would say it's worth the price, the time it takes to put it on and it is definitely easier than removing the screw shank after unscrewing the head. I've removed the brake rotors, exhaust…

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Can't remember
