Good for pipes and tubes

This works for pipes and tubes but is completely useless in open areas. I was trying to run a wire from the bow of my 16 foot boat to midships. We're talking about 8 feet. Useless! I couldn't get him to walk 8 feet through the open passageway below deck. It collapses at the first sign of resistance. I wish I had taken an old fishing rod, removed the rings and used them.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • Not bad

Worked great for pulling 10/2 wires

Worked great for pulling 10/2 wires (for a 30Amp line) to add a new device. It worked for me in three scenarios: running the cable through the wall between other wires, running it through a hole further up the outside wall of the house, and running the cable through a 1/2-inch liquid-tight conduit. This tool is indispensable. The only thing that could be improved is a more detailed instruction manual, although you could understand it from some photos.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Worked great for my application

I used this to run an AC control wire from our basement through the wall to my existing thermostat so I could add a common wire to power the old one Replace thermostat with the new one. new Google Nest system. It just worked! I should have bought this many years ago. I once tried to snag a coax cable in my basement with a wire hanger and spent more time yelling than working. I won't be using it often, but when I need it I'm glad to have it in my toolbox.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not comfortable because of the curve.

I had to build a 15ft fish on my boat, engine bay to engine bay (catamaran). I could see all the way. The problem is that the fish is reeled in to be sent to you and the reel/spin doesn't really go anywhere. won't go! It cannot be made straight, it is always curved. So you can't move it straight, it will bend and go the wrong way or get stuck on something. maybe with dozens of counter-curves at extreme angles to make it straighter, but it's never straight enough to go where you want it to. So…

Pros
  • High marks from the testers for support and durability
Cons
  • ---

Really Great Fishing Line

This is a great fishing line. I had to run a new wiring harness through my firewall and up to the top of the engine bay. The engine bay of my 19 Cherokee Trailhawk V6 is packed with tiny spaces, if any, to add auxiliary wiring and off-road light relays. I couldn't use hard or big fishing tackle. Flexible and strong, this fish saved the day by allowing me to run all the wiring. The place on my Jeep that I had to access for all of the wiring is on the underside of the driver's side firewall…

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Requires Socket
