Love this item. Easy to install with a hose (buy an adapter), very easy to clean. I want the plug to unscrew from the top (like a sink plug) but hey this is such a big improvement over what I used, the slight inconvenience of checking to see if there are spiders in it, no stars are missing. NOTE: When using it on chicks, make sure your flock members are mature. This can easily drown chickens.

I bought two of these and installed them in the paddock for our horses. Items attached easily to the fence and the water system works well. I also like that you can clean them. However, horses will not use them. I don't mean they can't. They stick their noses in the water and spit it out. And that's clean with clean water, the same water that filled their old big troughs.
