Big improvement over the original bulb but not for long

I replaced the OEM taillight on my Honda CT70 with this bulb, incredible improvement on the tail/brake light but in less than a year or so once a week, Part of tail light bulb stopped working, brake light continued to work, now fitted a second bulb hoping it will last longer than the first bulb.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Appearance

Pay attention to polarity: lighting and lighting accessories

Bought 2 sets of these LEDs for a car with a 6V positive ground system. 1 pair worked fine and the other pair didn't. found that 1 pair was polarity sensitive and only worked with negative ground. This pair came in a slightly larger box. I don't know why the same part number can be different. So be careful. Some of them on Revain claim to be non-polar.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some small things

They run on 6V positive ground to replace a 1154 dual filament bulb

These bulbs will replace a 6V tail/brake light 1154. However they are not as bright as the 1154 bulbs, for which they were developed. The lower power consumption is a big plus, and if you don't mind the maximum brightness, you should be happy with that too. They are incorrectly referred to as replacements for 1157 (1157 is the 12 volt version of 1154).

Works on scooter system 6V 1983 Yamaha CV80

Works great on 6V but needs a little modification, the lamp plate between the LEDs and the metal socket is a bit wider so in my case I have to cut the extra plastic plate to size. I've uploaded pictures to describe the problem in my case, I used this bulb on a 1983 Yamaha CV80 for taillight and brake light and after a little modification it worked great, perfect brightness and easy to install ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Reliability

Broke after 5 minutes of use.

I bought these to upgrade an old moped with a 6v electrical system. After replacing one of these my headlight goes out after less than five minutes of driving. After figuring out the problem, it looks like the top group of LEDs in the LED complex is soldered. Jumped into second light with exactly the same result - so it's unlikely that either of them was just a lemon. Maybe my magneto gives too high voltage surges for any solder used, or maybe the vibration in the ride is too much for theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Discontinued

you blind me

You blind me! I installed this bulb on my 1972 Yamaha DT250 Enduro (6 volt). The 6 volt charging system is no better than a lawnmower, so the standard bulbs weren't bright and it was hard to see them any brighter with the brake lights on. With these LED lamps, it shines much brighter than a modern motorcycle and, above all, consumes less energy. They are well made, they look handmade with perfect stitching. This is a 2 filament bulb that serves as a tail and brake light with offset side locking

Tail light function does not work but brake function works

These bulbs were purchased to replace the #2057 tail/brake light bulbs on my 1956 CJ5. I needed something brighter for my 6V night driving system and thought this might help. The brake light function worked but the rear didn't and at night you need both. I tried the same brand but a red set from another seller and they didn't work properly either - same problem: brake light ok, tail light not working. Bought another brand at the same time and they work as they should. I'm not sure what's wrong,

Less wattage but not insanely bright

I bought these for my '74 CT70 as I thought the bulb wasn't bright enough during the day and used too much power. So I put LEDs in and finally my turn signals flash when the brakes are on due to the low power consumption, but I was expecting them to be brighter. For some reason they are actually dimmer than the previously installed incandescent bulbs. Obviously you can see them very well before and at sunrise and after and at sunset and all night, but I don't know how well you can see them on a
