They need to be reconfigured to suit your needs.

As with the cheaper version of this fuel pump, they will need to be re-adjusted based on the inlet and outlet position. I recommend watching some YouTube videos if you've never done this before. Performance wise they don't seem to put as much pressure on them as the original Johnson/Evinrude. But they work. As? The time will show.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Much better than the cheap version

I bought this for my 1960 Evinrude 18hp to replace another brand pump that had only run a few hours before it failed. The boat is ready for use again and is idling. Nearly 30 gallons of fuel have flown through in the past few months since installation, half of it in salt water. I wouldn't take my boat a few miles from the salt boat if I didn't think it would take me back.

Pros
  • Convenient item
Cons
  • Other

had to use the back of the old pump and turn the fuel pickup but as I couldn't find a fuel pump in the US it worked fine with a few minor tweaks. It fits a 1975 Evinrude 25hp. with the above modifications. I ran the outboard in the tank a few times and it has held up great and ran well. I haven't made it to the lake yet, but I don't see any problems.

Exclent Fuel Pump & Service

Ordered this pump 30/11/18 at 4:30pm, delivered at 4:45pm on 1/12/18 It was a Prime Order with 2 days delivery time. The quality of the pump is very good, close to OEM, but the cost was about twice as high, installed in a few minutes, filled the pump with a second jerk, my engine started immediately. I had to tighten the knurled screw a bit because. some fuel leaked out of the seal, after that everything was fine. Can't complain that the stock pump just wore out. It was the original pump from…

Works on my 65 foot 9.5hp Johnson

I bought this fuel pump for my 1965 Johnson 9.5hp because I saw someone else said they bought it. The man later said he returned it. I used it. Worked perfectly. The engine started on the first pull, idled great, the engine ran great. The orientation of the hose barbs is reversed and they're a bit thicker, but I just left them on and had no problems. Does NOT come with screws. I bought 10-24 2" bolts with lock washers and they worked great. The box says this is for 6,8,9,9,15hp engines. Why…

The perfect pump! for fuel pumps and accessories

Fits my 1986 Johnson 15hp outboard perfectly! From reading all the reviews I was willing to go for some 24" bolts as the body is a bit thicker than stock but the guy I bought the motor from must have already done that because I have the Literally popped out the screw. Unscrew fuel hoses, old pump, screw in new pump (with existing screws) and reinsert fuel hoses! Done in minutes! I already gave this item a high rating because the shipping was insanely fast and said I would leave more feedback…

So glad I ordered this pump!

I have a 1969 Evinrude 25hp that needed constant topping up. I bought new hoses but he still lost gas station. this pump and I thought I'd give it a try and save about $70 on a new original pump. It should come with the correct screws, but it doesn't. Rather than buying new bolts, I CAREFULLY unscrewed the old base, pressurized the rest of the pump to keep it from falling apart, and reused the old base. "Then no new bolts are needed" The orientation of the fuel outlet is offset by 90 degrees on
