Good reversing camera, worth the money

Fits well. Looks the same as the original and the installation was correct. I would like them to connect a tail light power wire to the radio wiring. I wasted a lot of unnecessary time running a separate wire for this. For the price they could do better.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Fogged camera lens is the best among car rear view cameras

The camera worked great for a year. After a few washes in the last month, the inside of the lenses became cloudy due to moisture. I think it's because the keeper used a wash stick on the sides and pushed the water through the chamber seal. I don't know how to fix it if they return it.

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Looks like factory for backup cameras

Camera looks like factory upgraded which is nice, the installation was a bit tricky I put my cable legs through the tailgate and floor but the result was worth it , the picture on the back is clear, there are also backup lines, which is very nice. I have this cable on my Enon head unit so I can get parking assistance.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Great camera that keeps the standard truck look

4/5 stars because I couldn't get the backup lines to work. The plastic feels like the original pen. The camera angle is useful for trailer hitching and reverse parking. I only had to clean it a few times after snow etc. I think the higher mounting position helps keep it clean. It works fine for me day or night. Although I don't have original LED reversing lights.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons

Great for hitching trailers

I bought this camera to make hitching and unhitching my trailer easier and I wanted to be as close to the factory as possible. Price was good and price was great Get a good picture and it works great for what I need for both cameras, pictures are taken at night, camera is clear day or night. A great purchase I installed in a 2007 GMC Sierra in new body with a locking tailgate. I wash my car 2+ times a week at a car wash with no problems so far.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Discontinued

Take your time installing - see steps

My 2012 Chevy Silverado had a stereo when I got it and no backup camera. Shortly after receiving the truck, I installed a Pioneer AVH-4100NEX head unit with the ability to run a backup camera and an auxiliary camera. I needed a backup camera and after looking around I found that I could get either a license plate camera or a replacement tailgate bezel with a built in camera. I chose the bezel style for two reasons: it looks like the OEM camera that came with the truck from the factory - (more…
