Short stroke switching improved by approx. 30%!

This has definitely improved shift travel very well. The hardest part of the installation was removing the small blue plastic plug that covered the original ball post. But there are videos on YouTube that will guide you through the installation.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Update Availability

Do the right thing or you will regret it!

Purchased with the Acuity Switching Jacks, these two combinations make a world of difference. However, make sure you tighten the screws and make sure everything is powered on. I couldn't do it and I couldn't shift into 2nd, 4th, 6th and vice versa. But it was all human error, I almost bought a new shifter, luckily I was just stupid.

Also works for other (non-SI) 2006 models.

Fits my 2006 Civic EX well. Just thought I would help some people wondering if it will fit non SI models. In addition, this device has greatly improved gear shifting for me. This block not only reduces the number of throws, but also ensures sharper and more precise shifting. It locks into place so you can't tell if the stick made it to the end.

  • Quality Assembly

Good product. Installed on my 08 Civic Si.

Excellent product. Installed this on my 08 Civic Si in about an hour. It was actually very easy. You will need a 2mm hex wrench. It comes with an adapter and two very small screws. Be sure to use some type of thread lock to keep it from coming loose. The hardest part was removing and installing the blue switch cap. Throw is greatly reduced by shifting gears. Gives the car an even sportier look.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Functionality

Instead, save up for a full switch.

Installed on my 2009 Civic LX. Inserted without cutting the plastic case. But it only touches the base when reversing. Otherwise, it offered no improvement over the stock. Shifts still feel the same in all gears except 4th gear, the only gear where it's a bit shorter. Instead, you should have saved money for a complete switch assembly. But mainly I bought it because I didn't like the feel of the stock shifter (long shifts).

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Older model

Perfect fit for 2007 Honda Civic EX coupe

Perfect fit for my 2007 Honda Civic EX coupe. Use a 2mm allen key as a reference. There are many installation videos. My advice for removing the plastic cover from its storage position is to use pliers around the shaft under the plastic spacer and then use the lever to twist up to remove the plastic cover. To put on the Short Shift Adapter: Place the cap on the ground and push in the Short Shift Adapter. Use a towel or shirt to cover the hole with a stick while you work to avoid the hassle of…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Dull best in drive train and transmission

Skunk2 short front derailleur for civilians 8th gen is good ma'am. This is a very high quality metal item that feels heavy and durable. However, it almost never jumps out of the stem and also sticks to the inner plastic case of the switch. As you begin installation, make sure you're serious, because the blue plastic pivot cover is a pain in the ass when you put on a stock shifter if you don't like the feel. It's a good part, but doesn't do a great job. BTW, I installed it on a 2006 Honda Civic…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
