No problem with sculpting consumables

I spent a few cans of silicone mold making branded silicone rubber in the Far East as I always forget to spray release agent on the mold to make it stick to my epoxy projects, Smooth -On has clear instructions and is very easy to use with professional results in small details. My epoxy projects don't require a release agent and that's what I wanted. I just placed another order for more.

Smooth on makes the best and a lot of people use it and have it.

Smooth on is the best and many people use it and rate smooth on products highly. These starter kits are just that. For making very small molds. Very cool for people like me who are just getting into mold making and learning about casting and mold making. If you make large products I would suggest ordering by the gallon from the Smooth-On website.

Great starter kit for those learning

This product is a great brand and I have tried several different ones. I saw an ad for Smooth-on on YouTube and decided to give it a try. This is a great product and the 'Slow Set' option worked well for me. Depending on the size of your part, you're likely to run out of mold making rubber quickly. I made and used a vacuum tank to degas the rubber so there are no bubbles in the mold, but the OEM states that degassing is not required. Didn't really get a lot of bubbles so this may be true as the

High quality combination of materials

Mold Star 15 can be cast at home without vacuum degassing. Low temperature alloys such as tin-bismuth-tin (58-42) can be poured into a silicone mold because it melts at 281 degrees Fahrenheit (138 degrees Celsius) and solidifies relatively instantly (unlike the large solidus-liquidus range). The softness of silicone makes it suitable for casting objects several inches in diameter. Smooth Cast 300 is a good polyurethane resin for plastic casting. Use gloves, safety glasses in a ventilated areaโ€ฆ
