Installation is tricky but follow these instructions

After removing the old fenders, clean the receiver shell. I used a $2 break cleaner from Walmart. Grease and dirt left behind after your car left the factory has most likely hardened and is interfering with the installation of your SumoSprings. The clearance allows for a clean entry for the SumoSprings, which is important since the SumoSprings have a slightly larger girth, which is a good thing because you want them to stay indoors and not fall out and roll down the street. Doesn't work on Chevy Suburban

I installed it on my 2006 Chevy Suburban. It was easier to jack up and remove a wheel first, then jack up the frame to widen the gap under the cup near the wheel. As instructed, I used the weight of the car to push the SumoSpring into the cup. The product was introduced into the cup but gradually came out. I lost them both on the street. The material on the top of the SumoSpring is a smooth, slippery substance, and the Chevy cup has no gripping mechanism other than small internal ribs that are…

Easy installation, works well!

I recently got a set of these SumoSprings for my 2002 Tahoe and was amazed at how well they work! Installation was fairly easy, but you will most likely need to use a wire brush to clean the holding cups before installing them. After cleaning I lubricated the tab on the spring to help it snap and fit better. I'm towing a 7000 pound camper on my Tahoe that's pushing the limits of my truck and those springs have changed the world. Pros: The sag in the rear is gone now and the camper wobbles a lot
