Gas cap fits snugly and is easy to use

This gas cap fits snugly on my car and is easy to use. The cover includes instructions on how to turn the key to remove it and how to lock it again. My old cap didn't have these instructions and had to deal with them at times. But to make sure it would fit my car I went to the manufacturer's website, partcat/slant.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Nothing here

Perfect fit for my 2008 Ford F150

This locking gas cap was purchased for my 2008 Ford F150 which has a V8 engine that can run on E85 fuel. This cover is my second Stant cover, replacing the ones I bought when my truck was new. I should note that Stant removed the tab on the cap so you can't keep the plastic cable that runs between the tank cap and the truck bed.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • dim

Not recommended as a replacement

I would not recommend this product, especially in cold weather. Keys are cheap and easily bent. Even in good weather, the keys are difficult to put in the lock. When it got really cold, the keyhole froze and only worked with the WD40 combo and pumping it up, adding ten minutes to the gas. In the end, the entire internal key mechanism came right out of the gas cap, rendering the product unusable.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

Check Engine Light Activated - 2016 Tacoma

My biggest complaint is that after a few weeks I get a check engine light. Took out my ODB2 reader, P0441 means gas cap leak. Not the easiest way to turn on and off compared to the original. Must turn hard and hold the key. Doesn't have an OEM quality feel, but it's more efficient at keeping your gas tank out of reach than nothing. The last time I used a gas tank cap it was metal and my car didn't care if it was tight.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Concise Instructions
