I have crocheted occasionally since I was a kid and this kit is great for the beginner or casual knitter. The little canvas bag is adorable and holds all the sizes you need for almost any project. All hooks are aluminum with a durable paint finish. The grooves are deep enough to hold yarn securely and the rounded ends are perfect. First I received a knitting needle which appeared to be damaged. At the end there seems to be a remainder left. You can see it in the picture. I can't scratch it off with my fingernail. It just looks disgusting. I give 2 stars, everything else is good. The rest of the needles are intact and appear to be strong. Thinner crochet hooks will bend a little, but they won't bend into different shapes. I really like the bag that comes with it. Has thick fabric. Also, I bought this for weaving needles…
