Beautiful screwdriver set

I bought this for the JIS bolts on my bike and car. They also match regular Phillips screws better than my DIY kit, so I'll be using them as my main screwdrivers. They feel very comfortable and appear to be of very good quality.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expandable

Genuine JIS Screwdriver

Purchased to work with older Japanese vehicles that use JIS screws. They work great and are quality tools. Easily remove rusted or stuck JIS screws that traditional Phillips screwdrivers always snap off. They have become my favorite screwdrivers in the workshop.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • High Price

This is a quality tool.

I don't see any difference between these and normal Philips drivers. With #2 I still managed to rip off the head of the screw. maybe it's because the screw itself wasn't a JIS screw. Due to the magnetic tip and their weight, they are still very popular. This is definitely a quality tool.

Muy bueno for Japanese size screws

If you've ever wondered why you always put Phillips head screws on Japanese cars, it's because they don't have a Phillips head. Japan uses a different driving style. They work well and hold your screws securely. Yes they are a bit more expensive but you can easily afford them by staying at home instead of going out. I recommend a few beers and some ZZ Top instead of dining al fresco during the Rhone crisis.

JIS screwdrivers look like Phillips screwdrivers, but they are NOT. Bolts on bicycles, motorcycles and Japanese cars that look like Phillips are NOT. As a result, Phillips screwdrivers often strip these screws. Now I finally have the right JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screwdrivers and will never remove screws again. The difference is subtle but important. If you work with bicycles, Japanese motorcycles or cars, you should definitely get this set. Well made, should last a lifetime. I paid…

Looks good, seller sent used item as new

Like it - the grip in my hands is better than the straight barrel grips. These screwdrivers are of good weight. The handle design makes it easy to turn and manipulate. The tips on my kit are magnetic. I like how they look. From what I understand they are sturdy considering I was sent a set of apparently used screwdrivers, one of which was clearly hammered and not very well made. There wasn't even an attempt to clean them as my hands were blackened from driver #3's handling. They were sold new…

They do their job in accordance with JIS

Let me start by saying that these are screwdrivers. And I expect them to take some bumps, lots of scraping, twisting, and a decent amount of stress in general. However, they did exactly what I needed. I have successfully used it to disassemble an old Kawasaki motorcycle and completely rebuild a carburetor. To be honest I haven't noticed much of a difference between these and regular screwdrivers, but they seem to fit JIS heads a bit better. . I also slapped the poop out of them on some stubborn

Great for bikes and Asian vehicles

I bought these JIS screwdrivers specifically to work with my bikes. From what I've read online, shifters made in Japan use JIS type adjustment screws - screws that set the lower and upper limits of travel when shifting. " Phillips head screwdriver. I didn't know there was a JIS standard until I came across an article about Japanese shifters and JIS screws. I've used these JIS screwdrivers to adjust the front and rear derailleurs on all of my family's bikes Works great - won't slip or break the…

I wish I had them for the latest Honda carburetor repair

The internet is full of generic Philips drivers sold as JIS at a premium. As far as I can tell, this is the real deal. Tested a couple of JIS (JIS B1012, slightly recessed) cap screws between these and some quality Philips drivers and the difference was day and night. The Philips drivers are loose and can wobble quite a bit. These JIS drivers "almost snap in" and sit tight and flat. I disassembled the carburetors on my '82 Honda bike last weekend and these riders even removed the bolts that…

Missing link. for hand tools

Ever since I was a teenager learning how to operate my machine, I could never understand why removing screws with my Phillips screwdrivers was so damn impossible. I thought maybe I'm sad, weak, nobody unrelated to repairs. So I lived my whole adult life up to this point thinking I hate working on cars, I hate fixing cars, I hate myself for being so sad, weak, nobody. Enter JIS screwdriver. I think God has decided to lift the veil of shame from my unmanly skillful life and I luckily stumbled…
