They work great and you can show off all yours.

They work great and you can brag to all your cross stitch friends. "Yes, I use gold plated needles. I'm sooo cool." To be honest, your friends don't care and they'll probably scold you for paying extra for gold needles. They're not that much more expensive though, and if you tend to waste your needle on projects don't mean "come back later", don't leave rust marks on your fabric. :-)

Suitable for people with sensitive skin

My daughter is allergic to nickel. A few days after she started cross-stitching, her fingers began to turn red and peel off. We never thought that the needle in the kit could be a problem. These fully gold-plated needles have done their job. She switched and her fingers immediately began to heal (with overnight care with Cetaphil cream). She works on size 11 Aida canvas, so the needles are standard cross-stitch size and the eye is big enough for cotton embroidery floss but thin enough to slide…

Disappointment

I really, REALLY wanted to love these gold plated tapestry needles but I didn't. I've used them for cross stitch and bought them because they were supposed to glide like butter on the Aida fabric, but I didn't notice any difference in them and they glide just as well as my regular DMC tapestry needles. Unfortunately with these anchor needles the loop is rough and will break my thread in half. Hated it, absolutely hated it! It happened every time I used it, so it wasn't just an accident. And…
