The pump worked once to remove half a gallon of gas from the generator. Then to the snowblower. Nothing! I let it "cool 3 minutes" according to the instructions, for 10 minutes. Nothing yet. New batteries exchanged for two more new batteries. Still nothing. So: used their email address which was not delivered. That's her reference number. I received a recorded message, nobody is available. It was during their West Coast business hours. So it's coming back.

I've used it about 6 times a year for four years and despite new batteries and an obstacle test it almost ran out of power. The part that goes into your tank is made of hard plastic which means you won't be able to pump all the gas out of the tank as modern gas cylinders have an angled spout meaning the pump can't fall off. to the floor. With a typical 5 gallon can, you leave two to nearly three quarts of gasoline in each 5 gallon can.

This product is of great value. This allows me to avoid the high cost of refilling my boat's gas tank at the pier. Instead, I buy ethanol-free gasoline from a local gas station, carry it home in portable gas bottles, and then pump it into my boat. It pumps at an acceptable rate and is well made. A real assessment. Check my profile and browsing history. I have used this pump three times to pump plant nutrients from a 5 gallon jug into my backyard garden. It successfully pumped 10 gallons and then started rattling inside and stopped sucking. I turned it off and on again and it worked again. Then the same thing happened over and over again until it just stopped working. All of these battery powered pumps seem cheap and fail. It's a shame because it's a great idea. Doesn't work for the purpose it was bought for. I bought two of these items (a polite term compared to what I really want to call it) to 1) pump gasoline from gas canisters in cars and portable generators; and 2) draining water from a small pond in our yard. After reading the positive reviews, we ventured that these "items" would live up to our humble expectations. Not correct! Unfortunately I am unable to return these "items" as the returns window closed before we actually had to use them.

I was at the generator for eight days after Hurricane Irma. Lifting those 5 gallon cans was difficult and I wish I had a pump so I bought a Terapump TRHD01. The best money I've ever spent. Bought this pump to make transferring extra fuel into my cars ever easier. I used it on a recent camping trip and it has performed extremely well with both diesel and petrol engines. Pumps are approximately 1 gallon. per minute, so it took 5 minutes. Empty the 5 gallon fuel can. The pump is long enough to reach the bottom of the can and dispensed very little fuel. This pump was bought to replace the one I used to fill my kerosene heaters in the 80's. It was a great pump that came with my heaters.
