Dew goodbye in spare parts

This product perfectly protects your telescope, finderscope, Telrad and eyepieces from dew. On heavily dewy nights I set it to medium to mid range and it protects the optics from dew all night with Dew Not heating strips. Very low power consumption and easy to install and use. I strongly recommend this. Without them, it's an annoying and losing battle.

  • Only available in black

A handy option to control heating

4 channels with the ability to turn off each channel completely makes it a good choice for tuning your telescope. The controller looks well made, and while I was disappointed that it didn't have plugs to cover each input (allowing dew to get inside the controller), an email to Thousands Oaks confirmed that they are shipping these plugs now, and they even sent me one for free. .

Mounts beautifully on the Celestron CPC fork base

Works very well - Four channel design with four heating elements offers more control than comparable units with only two channels. Fits perfectly on the Celestron CPC fork base. The only downside would be the free space around the RCA jacks. . . I'm a little concerned about condensation getting into the electronics. I also didn't have plugs for any of the holes I've read from others. Solution? Electrical insulating tape.

  • Unbelievable price

Must have one of the best replacement parts

Works as advertised, Tau is a big problem and interrupts your browsing session before you even start, You can set up to four areas and control each one separately depending on your needs. This worked without any problems and completely eliminated the dew problem for me. Running 12V from a battery will quickly drain your battery. I bought a 12v dc converter to power it and it worked fine for me.

  • Useless features

Poorly designed control box enclosure - moisture and spiders can get in.

When first used, the controller had a short circuit on the circuit board in the power cord. He was left outside for a few nights but under a protective cover. I sent the unit to Thousand Oaks but they refused to honor the warranty stating that the circuit board looked like it had been exposed to salt water or some other corrosive material. They checked the heater bands (different brand) but they were fine. The power supply was a Pyramid 15 amp; I applied a multimeter to it several times and…
