Great for Goats at Farrier's

Great for Goats Hooves. I'm new to goats and they seem to get the job done, easy to manoeuvre, nice and sharp. This is a much better alternative to expensive farm shops.

Not worth a damn for trimming hoofs

These C shears may be good for gardening, but they're terrible for trimming goat's hooves! They made an already difficult task even more difficult because they couldn't cut through the hoof walls! I think you get what you pay for!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Don't waste your money

I've waited a few months to write a review to see how it holds up (I trim my goats hooves every 2 weeks). Everything was fine at first but very fast and hardly any blunt cuts now - not sure if people do that but it might be good if you can sharpen them - I've never done that and they get really fast blunt - save your money and buy a better pair that will last.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Repair

Use on a dog – super hot!

I grew up around goats, so I know how sharp trimmers should be. As an adult with a dog that has very hard claws, I was disappointed with the pet garbage trimmers I found. So I tried the claw cutter. They are very sharp and if used carefully will cut the dog's claws perfectly without splitting them. I've been using it for over a month to slowly trim overgrown nails. You were great! If/when they wear out I'll replace them with something similar.

  • Impressive
Cons

Good for trimming bale strings, not hooves

This can be a great tool in the stable, but only for trimming bale strings. We have a lot of goats, so this is an important tool for us. First, it comes with an extra feather, which is a red flag. I have not lost feathers on trimmer machines in several years of owning goats. With my first wife, my hand cramped because the blades were so dull. Brand new, I expected them to cut through a good wall better. I would not recommend them for goat hooves.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Pretending to look like a Zenport clipper but not

We trim a lot of goats hooves so I decided to try these inexpensive trimmers. The image is very similar to some of the more established brands, but the handles are longer and smoother than textured so aren't as sure to hold. The blade is also longer. For a man with very large hands cleaning a deer with very large legs these might be a good tool, but for the average person cleaning an average goat they were very awkward and difficult to use.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Safety
