uncomfortable but durable.

My 5 year old nephew seems very uncomfortable in it compared to other brands. They are solid and take a lot of pressure. They do their job well, apart from being uncomfortable.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Secret

Great for derby! Definitely for the little ones!

Registered my daughter for the Junior Derby and wanted to buy her the same lasts I wear. She is 8 years old and skinny and they fit but she will soon outgrow them. You are about to become small. I would recommend buying them for a 5-7 year old child.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I'll be in touch later

Protected from scratches, bumps and bruises!

My almost 5 year old got this for Christmas to accompany his new skateboard. He's fearless, but these pads have already saved him from tears and disappointment and given him the confidence to keep learning! Good price and good quality compared to foreign made toy sets.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Update Availability

Fits my very slim 5 year old and also my slim 9 year old

Great protection kit. We bought these for roller skating for my 5 year old daughter who is of average height and very slim. They also fit my slim, athletic 9 year old son. Well made, durable, efficient. Beyond that, there's not too much to say. However, they may not be suitable for a child with a heavy build.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Requires outlet

A must have for roller skates

I bought two sets of these roller skates for my 4 and 7 year olds. The wrist pads are a little large for my 4 year old but the rest of the pads fit both well. We use them for skating on the Rollerdrome and for scooters on the sidewalk and street. They hold up well, offer excellent protection, are very comfortable even in hot climates and are easy for children to put on themselves.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • So so

Sturdy, perfect for my 5 year old

Sturdy, perfect for my 5 year old and comfortable enough to carry. I had to mark the knee pads and elbow pads "left" and "right" so he wouldn't put them on incorrectly, which caused chafing. If they are uncomfortable, check if they are on the wrong arm/leg. They also came with a slight chemical smell. I left her for 2 days and he got rid of it. All in all a worthwhile purchase.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Really like these pads

Really like these pads but we have some issues. 1. The wrist pads are too small for my 7 year old son who is quite skinny. 2. Velcro fasteners on the elbow pads do not reach the end and come into contact with the skin. This causes a very itchy experience. 3. (and worst) The knee pad straps broke off the pads quickly (2 weeks). I sewed them up, but hooray! I will replace them soon.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some little things

Easy to put on and comfortable

They were easy to put on. Use for skating easy to stick after the skates are on the kid. They fit everyone and they fit my 6 year old well - not too big for him like we've found with other pads. When it comes to youth opinion, it is really suitable for 3-7 years old boys. Not sure if they will fit next season but they are well priced and will last as they look good. The velcro is nice and strong, it holds securely. The plastic of the pads is hard and strong, but all protective gear flexes well…

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • So far so good

Great fit for my skinny 5 year old skater

My 5 year old daughter is very slim and petite for her age and I have had trouble finding pads that provide adequate protection for skateboarding. I had a cheap kit that I couldn't tighten enough to keep it from constantly slipping off her elbows and knees. The Triple 8s looked larger so I wasn't sure they would work but due to their design they stay in place much better. They are also simply higher quality and offer a lot more padding and protection. She rode the miniramp for the first time…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
