I remember as a kid I would simply open the vent and then remove the cap to fill the fuel tank with petrol. This is a trick if you want to use your lawn mower pain-free. All new gas cartridges with EPA nozzles are pure garbage. Buy this and properly repair the gas cylinder.

Bought this for my standard 5 gallon plastic canister and it fits great, no leaks. The new safety jets are terrible, but this spout works great. I don't have a vent installed on my glass so the pour rate would be a little faster if I did. However, that doesn't bother me at all.

I really like this grommet but the top cap that covers the tip is too close to the tip. The locking ring is too tight and interferes with trying to insert the spout into the car's filler neck. You need to lower it an inch or two. That being said I bought 3 of these and am very happy with them.

I was ready to throw away the last gas cartridge I bought to fill up my garden tractor. I was able to detach the whole spout and fill it with petrol, but other than that I couldn't empty the original design tank no matter what I did. I didn't expect it to work but I ordered it because for the price it was worth a try. This spout was easy to put on and now I can actually use the gas canister.
