Slightly cheaper than original OEM parts but not worth it. Avoiding the leak is nearly impossible, and there are many additional steps to make it work. Save your money by buying OEM first.

Solenoid arrived quickly. Installation was very easy as all parts needed to connect are included in the kit. I would suggest using teflon tape on the joints to prevent leaks. This is the second solenoid I have installed in two years. The water in my area is very dirty, with quite a bit of sediment, so it just corrodes those solenoids. This is a very economical part considering the cost of replacing original parts. I would buy it again if I had to replace it again.

A solenoid is a solenoid - they all magnetically open and close a small valve when energized. This all-in-one model costs three times less than mainstream humidifier brands and works just as well. I bought one of these in February 2015 and it lasted a few months this winter and then all of winter 2015-2016. October 2016 I hadn't turned on my home humidifier when I noticed the magnet had failed when open. Am I unlucky with that one solenoid or are they all bad quality?
