It works, it's not even bad.

I always had built-in Pcie PC sound cards like the Asus Soundblaster or Sonar card. as well as games. If you want to listen to loud music full of bass, you need to buy an external DAC or amplifier. Internal sound cards are not sufficient. You also need an excellent headset. V moda crossfading comes to mind. Recently my Soundblaster card made me sad. The audio cuts out in some video games and I can't find the reason. It can be the game itself (pubg and the like). It could also be related to the…

It does what I had to do!

Let me start by saying that this little device did what the $120 Creative Sound Blaster xFI-HD couldn't. Give me SPDIF input to my computer via USB! I connected it to my Windows 10 PC and it just worked. I spent two days trying to get the Sonic Blaster working with multiple calls to the support team to no avail. No, it's not perfect. It's a lot smaller than I expected (which is actually pretty good), and the build quality leaves a lot to be desired - for example, the optical cable on the back…

Easy install, works great on Windows 10

I'm a professional video editor and producer. My primary editing platform is a high-end Dell computer with a Realtek-based 5.1 sound card. After the last Windows update (I lost the version number) the card stopped working in 5.1 mode. I actually bought this card to add an optical audio input to my laptop, but damn it, I plugged it into my desktop. It works great in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound. I wish I had discovered this product sooner as it would have saved me hours of struggling with…

Analog sound = good; Digital Audio = Reading Fine Print

I bought this unit because my laptop's audio jack broke. The Elements work well with analog audio output and offer decent surround sound for Logitech THX 5.1 surround sound speakers. However, I was expecting the digital output to offer the same sound quality and take advantage of the Element's surround sound capabilities. It's not, READ THE SEAL BEFORE YOU BUY!" Supports 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rate for analog playback and recording, or 48kHz for SPDIF 【The audio adapter SPDIF optical…

Saved me upgrading to Windows 10 on an OLD Dell XPS 400. Now SOUND!

With the Windows 7 support deadline approaching, I know I need to either upgrade to Windows 10 (a daunting step for a 12-year-old Dell. I did it anyway, so what The only thing that didn't work is the sound (the old Sound Blaster sound card that came with the computer. This external USB sound card fits the bill. It came with a driver disk but it's not needed. My computer recognized the device and worked fine Now I can use this computer for a few more years (until Bill Gates stops supporting…
