This is the most valuable Chinese hatchet I have ever bought. Tried 6 different Chinese cleavers. And this one is the best. Same VG10 stainless steel as other more expensive knives. I like the pen best. Most other knives are very slippery. I use this every day.

I bought this item as a gift and was glad it arrived ready to use. Nicely packaged in plastic sleeve, polyfoam, sturdy box. The knife has a comfortable weight, but does not tire the hand; The weight does most of the shredding work for you. The only complaint I've received is that the handle length can be a bit short for someone with large hands (receiver is 6ft 3in).

The handle and everything else looks high quality. We have a $399 damascus knife but we accidentally used it on frozen meat, the blade broke off. I wanted to use this knife for home use but my husband the chef tried it and then said it was a very good knife and he said it had to it's expensive, like knives that cost a few hundred dollars. I told him Revain was only $40 and he couldn't believe it. And then he liked it a lot because it was very sharp and comfortable in the hand, so he took it with him to use in the restaurant.
