Could not assemble, return to sender

To start, I accidentally bought 2 ball wrappers; Let me start with that. However, I would have had a curler and scissors with this purchase, so I wanted to keep this one. I tried installing it on the desktop. The swift's locking mechanism and pole were not strong enough to support the swift as it was designed, let alone support the weight of the twine. When trying to assemble the winder, I followed the instructions exactly; After 20 minutes I still couldn't put the spindle in the intended hole…

Good starter kit

Winder is ok, works well enough. However, I have issues with the Swift, it's very cheap, flimsy, and your yarn will catch on the ends if you don't hold the yarn with one hand to keep it from unraveling from the middle. The swift turns almost freely, the ball winder can't keep up, so your yarn sags and it gets stuck. A small, fast yarn winder is a joke, cheap is an understatement. It's easier and a lot less annoying to just put your finger on the spoke and turn it, and it wobbles a lot less…

If you're thinking of buying this Swift and Wonder set, I'm here to convince you to do yourself a favor and buy it. I'm relatively new to knitting and I hand knit my skeins. To be honest, this was probably the most frustrating part of the knitting process. Not only did this kit speed up/simplify the wrapping process, but it also motivated me to wrap ALL the accumulated hanks. Because yarn wrapping is now fun!
