Simple, functional, absolutely indispensable

I grew up wearing Zippos. I have also restored them for other people. They are very reliable if you do a little simple maintenance. We recently had a power outage and I realized I had nothing to light the candles. I felt stupid. Now I have it covered. I bought lighter fluid, wicks and flints. The black crackle finish is practical. Having a flame handy is a basic requirement. I'm glad I bought this.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Good basic Zippo.

I've owned a Zippo for at least ten years and although I've lost a few Zippos it has never broken. I got this as a lightning deal for my mum for Christmas 2016 because I think that every person with physical and metal skills should be able to do at least 2 things: use a knife and start a fire, because what can I say, that's what we do separates from the beasts, this lighter does a great job of keeping the beasts happy.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Difficult to say

One problem - lighters and matches

I know this doesn't seem worthy of such a low rating, but it's not cheap and I was expecting the level of quality. On the bottom of the lighter the coating has gone further on one side than it should. As I said, it's a minor thing, but I've bought many Zippos over the years and have never seen one with such a defect. It was too sloppy for my taste. I would guess it was a fluke and I wouldn't say I don't buy it. One star might be too hard, but I expected more from Zippo

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Amazed how the crackling holds up in your pocket. I carry this lighter in my pocket with my keys and change every day. After a few months there will be a few tiny chips but most lighters still look brand new. I love the vintage look and the build quality. The lid is a little looser than my polished brass zipper, but it also gets a lot more use and abuse. Note that this lighter requires lighter fluid which is NOT included and will evaporate over time even if you don't use it (unlike Bic lighters

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No instructions

Nice texture, overall pleasant sensations.

I only bought this lighter for the case, not the inside (so they're sitting in the desk drawer now). I smoke cigars occasionally and prefer butane liners, but my original lighter case left a lot to be desired as it looked like just thin stamped brass as the paint had already peeled off. But THAT is nonsense. It's nicely textured and feels solid in the hand. That's what drew me to this case, and I have no complaints. Except for now I want another one for my other insert. but then I would confuse

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Exchange option

Zippo quality good for lighters

Zippo quality. Other reviewers write great reviews; I've carried Zippos through a few wildfires and a war for 40 years. If they had any flaws, I would have given them up long ago. The only bug I've ever encountered is loops that don't work well. Sent them back to Zippo and they fixed them for free. The finish on Zippo is not guaranteed, which doesn't bother me. I am not a collector or connoisseur of lighters; Just use them to set the fire in place until they wear out. The black finish on this…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expandable

A sumptuous lighter with a story behind its unique finish.

Great lighter with a unique finish. Kind of rough, but smooth at the same time. Made the same way as all Zippo for ages. And of course they fix it if it ever breaks, which is a throwback to the good old days when companies backed their products. One thing I always do when I get a new Zippo is take out the stuffing and wick and repackage it (with the same stuffing and wick). I do this because they seem to grab them in about 30 seconds, so it's not really well done. However, it doesn't matter…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
