Review on Bitstamp USD by Olugbenga Ajayi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Charges on usage too much

Like every other cryptocurrency card, Bitstamp card is no exception. It is a MasterCard-like card that enables convenient spending of cryptocurrencies. It is connected to Bitstamp exchange.

Intending users must first apply for the card through their website and pay an issuing fee of $10. Although when it was launched in 2015, the first 100 users received it freely. Usually it will take between 10-15 days to receive it.

The card is not supported by app rather it can be controlled on their website cardportal.com. In other to use the card user will receive credentials that will grant access to their portal.

There are lots of charges attached to the use of this card apart from the usual issuance fee. Other fee includes withdrawal fee, conversion fee and dormancy fee. These fees are rather too many.

In terms of security, it is secured with 2 factors authentication, https and SSL encryption.
