Not the best in the Kitchen & Bath category

Water really flows through which leads me to suspect it's not actually being filtered as there is no time to filter. I preferred my old model, but could no longer find suitable filters.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Modern

Easy to install, great tasting (no taste) water!

It was easy to install and we always like to know that we are getting filtered water from the kitchen faucet with cold water. If the filter lasts 12 months, that's a great thing. The DC3 filter restricts water flow, but we quickly adjusted to the lower flow.

High throughput, good throughput

I was looking for a filter with very good throughput and high throughput so that I wouldn't have to change it every few months. That seems to fit the bill. Really good flow - I actually had to turn the shutoff valve for the drinking water faucet to the partially closed position because it was pumping out too much water too quickly.

overall I am satisfied with this product. Digging was a bit of a problem

In the end I like it because it works. I had a problem with the installation. The hose that came with it was very stiff and I had to go to Lowes to get a more flexible hose to fit the bottom of my sink. One I made that I was happy with. The filtration is good and the water no longer has the sulphurous taste of local city water. I gave it 5 stars because the end result is a far cry from the inconveniences of having to use a softer, more flexible hose.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Stop Buying Fridge Water Filters, Use These!

Use this in place of our expensive, small, inefficient fridge filter. I fitted a reverse osmosis filter bypass plug in place of our fridge filter (supplied with the fridge if your water supply to the fridge is already filtered). Our refrigerator filters are $50 each and the "replace filter" light comes on after 3 months. Instead, I installed this Culligan unit under our sink on the water line that goes to the refrigerator. Problem solved! A much larger filter, cheaper, should last a lot longer.

comparable to 3M Filtrete 3US-MAX-F01

I have been using the 3M Filtrete 3US-MAX-F01 water filter for many years. CULLIGAN US-DC3 is comparable to a 3M filter. Both filter out chlorine, particulate matter (0.5 microns), cysts and lead. The difference is that the 3US-MAX-F01 has a capacity of just 1,500 gallons while the US-DC3 has a 4,750 gallon capacity. This is more than three times the capacity of the 3M filter. The Culligan may be cheaper since its replacement filter is $60, while I typically buy the 3US-MAX-F01 for $25 ($75 for

Great taste so far!

We got this for our sink. Most of the time, when we turn on the faucet, the water smells bad and tastes funny. But only in the bathroom. We have a water softener and filtration system for the whole house which should have solved any problems. But after investigating we were told it was probably caused by the pipes leading to the bathroom. Our house was built in the 50's and most of the original plumbing is still working. It has been suggested that old scale probably built up in the pipes after…

Surprisingly easy to install.

I already had a setup like this but decided to try this one as it had a 12 month filter instead of the 6 month filter I originally had. The important things first. This device was remarkably similar to something I was already using, if it weren't for the key part of the filter I could just pop it in and use the setup I already had. But you can't put a circle that a square goes in, and that might have been a flaw in that plan if I removed the key, but that would be a problem too, as you'd be…

Water tastes better + EASY to install!

This Culligan filter does exactly what I've come to expect from the Culligan: it greatly improves the taste of my city water, which comes from surface lakes and needs deep cleaning. But many filters do (actually ALL should, but some don't). However, what sets it apart from the competition is its ease of installation and relatively small footprint under the sink. I serve in the military, so we moved quite a bit. I almost always install a water filter (with the exception of Alaska, where tap…

Convenient and Affordable Filtered Water Right at the Tap

This device is a must-have if you currently buy bottled water or use a filter that mounts to your faucet (like Pur). Very easy to install (just a drill). , screwdriver and crescent wrench) and for maintenance. And the convenience of having HIGH FLOW filtered water right at your kitchen sink is a game changer. Feel where I come from. This will take forever! However, technically, this device can be installed wherever there is a cold water tap. Not just in your kitchen. The advantage (and possibly
