Good, but? in Computers & Accessories

I cannot give this product 5 stars. I use it as my main router. It works but sometimes it crashes and I have to make an effort to fix it. When I tried to update it from the dlink website, I encountered another problem. So I'm still riding it the way it came. The built in print server worked once, hasn't since. I do not recommend this. This is not a stable product.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Empty

Really bad product.

Hello, the router function works as expected. Unfortunately, I also paid for the print server. site. Despite being such an old product, it is still sold in Brazil.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are some disadvantages

Suitable for print server - router Not tested

Since everything is becoming a router these days, I haven't had the opportunity to test the DI 704UP router. I have three of these with different printers (HP 1200 Laserjet and Samsung 1210, 1430 and 1450). I finally found something that isn't listed in any of the documentation for these products. As with the Linksys Print Server PSU S4, you will face the same inconveniences with D Link: try not to turn them off. If this happens, try turning it back on in the order listed, first the print…

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Amazing Product in Computers and Accessories

Configure it to be used as a router and USB print server. In no time my Canon mp730 was online. I was looking for the same type of setup and couldn't find another company that would supply a product that is currently a USB print server and router in one. I also have a Netgear mr814v2 wireless router that I used before and I like the Dlink features better. If you need to set up parental controls, you can do that too. And it gives you more control over it than Netgear. If there's anything that…

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • High Price

DOA? Electronics for computers and accessories

I don't know where to start! The setup software is only for the print server and I never got that far. I can't access the HTML interface despite spending many hours repeating rare installation operations. Online help? I'm not happy with it yet as it hasn't brought any relief.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • I could have chosen a newer model

Good overall performance - networking products

I'm happy with this router. I have an HP845C USB printer that wasn't listed as supported on the D-Link website, but I've had no trouble networking my two home computers to access DSL internet and the printer. I could not find any other product that has the USB print server function with a router. I've had it for a month now and no problems.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Available in white only

False Advertising: Computers & Accessories

Warning: The product description says "USB Print Server" and not "Maybe USB Print Server". The list of actual supported printers is hidden on their website. I had no problem plugging a Windows 2000 PC into a LAN port and using my DSL connection, but a Windows XP PC connected through a 10Mbps hub could do it even on the same port no network connection detected. Looks like the 10/100 auto-detection is having a problem.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • New Competitors Emerged
