Wrong type of screw - damages the window frame

What is not visible in their photo, but in mine, is that the product has the wrong type of screw. Usually these locks have flat screws (second photo) that press against the window frame. They came with very sharp, pointy points. They are so sharp that if I keep tightening them they could pierce the window frame (I could see them start to dent and stop). If the width of the rail is wider than the "C" spacing on these clamps, you will not be able to install it. The description says 1/8" max thickness, but my splint material is less than 1/8" thick - it just wraps around and creates a channel. I think "thickness" is a bad way to indicate possibilities and they…
