Could be great

I enjoyed playing Pokemon Liquid Crystal for a few days before the SD card accidentally crashed for no reason. I had a Gameboy Advance SP as a kid and I remember it feeling a lot more premium than this thing. The thing looks like a child's toy, it's very cheap and light plastic. Although the screen is bright I would have kept it if the SD card hadn't broken. I could just make my own retro portable console out of a Raspberry Pi 4 board. It's nice that it has USB-C. I also think I would like itโ€ฆ

Cannot run SNES with rotation

The product supports Game Boy up to Genesis era. I like the clamshell design for its portability, but I was disappointed when this machine couldn't run 16-bit "spin" games like F-Zero, Super Mario Kart, Super Tennis, Pilot Wings - no chance at Star Fox or stunt racing effect. SNES, PS1, and GBA all require too much hardware, although low-end 2D games are possible. There are firmware updates to improve screen tearing and audio, but this is best for games from 1993 and earlier; You would buy this

That's my number 1, grab the door.

I love this little thing. I am 47 years old and live on a quarterly basis. This item suits me perfectly. Great button feel with great D-Pad. The back also has the L1 and L2 and R1 and R2 buttons for gaming. If you want to use it, make sure you use a custom firmware. This isn't a top-end device, but you can't haul it for $40. I also have a pocketgo v2 with custom firmware, a genesis handheld with gopher, a psp1000 and psp3000 with cfw and an ambernic 351m with 351elec with arkos as backupโ€ฆ

Decent pocket emulator

The operating system supports a number of good emulators. GBA games play great on it, but the screen is big enough / different pixel densities so fullscreen ends up scaling weirdly. Suitable for PS1, but 3D games tend to be choppy while 2D games run smoothly. The device is actually a Powkiddy V90 (it's a Bittboy Pocket Go clone in a different case). There are custom operating systems if you want to try replacing it for some extra power, but ultimately you're still limited by the hardware. Theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

This is my second emulator/handheld console from China. For its purposes, this is a great console if you don't expect anything good from it. My device arrived with small bubbles on the screen which appears to be due to poor lamination work at the factory. Even when the console is closed, the top moves with a slight movement. The sound of a loose screw is heard when shaking inside the device. I'm not sure if I received a defective unit, but I'm still disappointed with the quality control. Theโ€ฆ

Afraid of headphones? Best in Baby Electronics

device, excitedly turned it on, played a game or 2. Decent screen, loud sound, volume turned down, the sound isn't bad (as many cheap little speakers often do, you know that crackle Oo ) wanted to play in bed a bit like in the old Gameboy days, headphones plugged in, mute silence, nothing to hear, volume turned up all the way and heard almost all noises (as a child I played some of these games so much that I note by heart, so I know what I should have heard) but what I could hear was stillโ€ฆ

Great handheld only if you know what you are doing!

This PDA has an excellent form factor, although you can hardly go wrong modeling yourself after the Gameboy Advance SP. Unfortunately, the internal build quality leaves a lot to be desired, meaning it may not last long unless you are very careful with use, making it not ideal for young children. It needs to be turned off with a software like a computer and then turned off with the power button. If you just turn it off, which kids will do, you will end up destroying your memory card and losingโ€ฆ
