Ultimate Edge BS6 6 Piece Steak Review

I really love my knives but I don't know how to store them. These blade savers are really effective. Because the liners come in different sizes, I can conveniently store my favorite knives while always having them to hand when I need them.

I couldn't put a knife in those sleeves - I almost cut off my fingers. The plastic is not flexible and it is not a case. It is similar to a money clip except that part of the clip cannot be opened. I tried to get the knife between the clip, squirming and nearly cutting myself. I won't use those horrible things.

Just bought a new Chinese cleaver that is VERY sharp. I knew I needed a sleeve for him. Since I had several other knives that I also wanted sockets for, I chose his set. The sleeves are tight which I think means they stay in place! It's good. The largest is the perfect depth for my cleaver. I had trouble trying to trim the length to fit, but ended up getting it. The end result is protected knives and protected hands. I am very happy.

I bought these to protect some of the Global steak knives I had in my utensil drawer. The knives are serrated and not particularly sharp, but after purchasing an electric sharpener that made them razor sharp I was afraid of cutting myself and damaging the new thin edges. Protectors are simply plastic bushings that the blade is pressed into. The sleeve is narrow so they stick securely to the blade without falling out. The reason I gave this 3 stars is that it is difficult to insert the steak knife into the sheath because it is very, very tight. I nearly hurt myself trying to stick steak knives up each sleeve. It's just too tight. If the Chef Sac brand were this size steak knives I would buy from them because they are the right strength - not too tight and not loose.
