The KB machines have become my favorites. Recommend

I started out knitting on looms which are easier to find in local shops (not KB looms). These looms are heavier and the pins are thicker, a little over 5/8 inch apart and notched on the side. I wanted a loom that could use smaller yarns without doubling the strands. I also always like to have the full range of options when picking a project, so I add 3/8" (this product) and 5/8" to my stash. The peg top design makes my stitches easier to work with - but the stitch can also slip off more easily…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Don't remember

perfect for what i need.

I bought this pair to add to my set of 3/8" round KB looms (80, 72, 64 pins) which made a full set of five looms for about $40 dollar leads. I use this 56 pin a lot more (baby caps and panels) than the 24 pin, but I can see the 24 pin will be useful for my 3/8" patterns. A 24 pin loom makes a panel which is about the size of a KK 12 loom all other things being equal I really really like that they engraved the gauge and number of bars on the bottom Great idea! That should be on be all that's…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Great option for knitters who are already used to larger looms

Loom knitting since the 70's when Whiting, Singer, Weaver and others often had circular looms in their boxes. Needle crafts for children. I was given a book from the late 1800's and another from the early 1900's about knitting with rakes and looms used as rehab/therapy by war veterans and state prisoners in the 1990's, which fueled my love for this quick and easy craft renewed. These 3 8" thick looms use a single thread of finer yarn as opposed to more typical beginner looms with wider yarns…
