Easy to install - BUT be careful Comcast

The modem has been installed for over a month with no problems. I'm not a huge speed geek (ie I don't play online games (but my old modem was 6 years old so the upgrade was worth it). Installation was easy EXCEPT I'm with Comcast. Despite the instructions saying, You MUST call Comcast to complete the installation. This was the only reason I didn't want to buy a new modem. The installation took an extra hour, but otherwise the installation went well. I'm glad I did and I did am very satisfiedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • No paint required

I searched for Xfinity and the compatible modem model (video, voice, no Wi-Fi) was T25 but I couldn't find T25 ARRIS. site. I ordered the surfboard above and was hoping I didn't have to send it back. Replaced my old trusty ARRIS with the latest DOCSIS 3.1. A MARKED T25 package arrived (see photo) but without an ARRIS model number. Easy to install for TV BUT the Xfinity computer tree does NOT include internet or voice (TV only if you have the hardware). You will need to contact Xfinity Technical

The best modem for gigabit and voice

has acquired this xfinity for gigabit triple play. I activated it online and it works like a charm. I see several reviews complaining about the activation process, that's how it happened. Unplug your old modem and plug it in. Do not connect the router yet. Wait a few minutes for the modem to connect to xfinity. Connect your computer to one of the RJ45 ports and launch your favorite browser. Activation is displayed. If not, wait a little and try to update it. Confirm your identity by answeringโ€ฆ

Pros
  • is clear, also the old
Cons
  • periodicity

Excellent replacement for modems

More than a day went by and not a single disconnection from the internet, contrary to what I was experiencing every other stinky minute with the xfinity modem. This is a modem that does not have WiFi and is only used in bridge mode with no access to settings and is usually connected to a home router. Has automatic online check in at xfinity when everything is connected, although it didn't work for me and I had to call them direct which I think would be better anyway because they need to beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Hot Trash on Xfinity

The Arris T25 on Xfinity is hot trash and has nothing to do with anyone's setup or signal. I and a few others have had this experience. You can see it on the Xfinity forums and Revain reviews. Once a week this thing goes off in the middle of the night. The only way to get it back is to turn it off and on again. Reaching out to Comcast won't do much. Comcast will sympathize with you, tell you the signal looks good from their end, and recommend that you contact Arris for assistance. Appeal toโ€ฆ

THE WORST. MODEM. JE! Arris T25/Comcast/1000Mbps

I know 100% that this device is a modem with 2 telephone lines and even more noticed; It's not a router and it doesn't have WiFi. I bought the modem knowing that it was the ONLY modem with 2 phone ports. Calling Comcast was quick and easy, I just asked to update the modem on my current account and remove the modem that is already on my account. The call lasted no more than 15 minutes. Note: I don't have phone service, but I still chose this modem with its phone ports in case I want to add thatโ€ฆ
