More than a day went by and not a single disconnection from the internet, contrary to what I was experiencing every other stinky minute with the xfinity modem. This is a modem that does not have WiFi and is only used in bridge mode with no access to settings and is usually connected to a home router. Has automatic online check in at xfinity when everything is connected, although it didn't work for me and I had to call them direct which I think would be better anyway because they need to be allowed to remove the old modem from your account and fix it any internet issues just to make sure you're ready. This modem has a local IP address of 192.168.0.1, which will reset xfinity to its own IP address to work for you. So yeah, while this thing works fine, it just seems like browsing is a tad faster, maybe throughput hasn't dropped from not having to deal with the Wi-Fi software in the modem. Save $14 a month without renting a piece of crap from xfinity. Just do it, you won't regret your decision.
