I felt I needed a more secure method of storing my files, so I paid an admittedly high price for the privilege. The good news is that the flash drive's encoding engine is of excellent quality and should last a long time. I've been using it for a few months now and can attest to the quality and ease of use as soon as you enter the code. Works like a regular flash drive. Nobody has tried to crack the code, but I don't think it will be too easy. Worth the price.

Works great. I spoke to the seller in the UK. They said that it works even after the battery is drained. Connect it to your computer to enter the code. Entering a custom PIN is a pain. You need to hold down 7 keys. I have small hands so this is difficult. Self-destruction is a good attitude. You also have to press a few keys to activate it before entering the code. I just bought this and struggled for half an hour to change the default PIN. Here's how I did it: 1. Press the KEY2 button. Enter an existing PIN3. Press the KEY button twice <-- press twice at MEDIUM or FAST speed4. Enter new PIN5. Press the KEY button twice <-- it should be a FAST double press6. Repeat new PIN7. This was my first DATASHUR product I bought It allows alphanumeric passwords of up to 15 digits and also requires +2 final key presses to complete the selection of a new password, which means you actually have to press seventeen keys in less than 10 seconds.
