Yes! Good alternative to the Jawbone Jambox

I bought the Jawbone Jambox last week and returned it as I was dissatisfied with my purchase. I am very happy with the JBL Flip which I bought instead. I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker to pair with my iPhone and listen to music mainly in my bedroom. The Flip is exactly what I wanted and best of all, it costs significantly less than the expensive Jambox. I liked the following more: - Volume. I can't believe this is true, but the Flip is way louder than the Jambox. - No annoying loud…

As you would expect from a portable Bluetooth speaker.

The JBL Flip Portable is a good, heavyweight little speaker. It's about the size of a Budweiser Tall-Boy. Pros: * Easy connection via Bluetooth. I use it with an iPhone 5s and an iPad 3. It also pairs well with my wife's Macbook Pro.* Long battery life. When grilling, etc., I've never run out. The battery lasts several hours*. Loud enough for a small speaker system. The speaker produces enough volume to fill my living room without distortion. * The blue color is beautiful * Can be positioned…

Big sound, small speaker - fully portable

This small speaker impresses with its size and portability. I'm still heartbroken that someone stole my Bose Portable Audio Dock which sounds so much better. That being said, the Sounddock is a lot heavier, bigger, and harder to carry than this amazing little speaker. I use it to teach yoga and other activities, give lectures, and play videos during presentations and clinical training. Due to its size and portability, this sound really fills a large room with crystal clear clarity and richness,

JBL flipout. in Portable AV

As I write this, I'm listening to JBL Flip sitting about 22 feet away at half volume, iHeart Radio, and a Key West radio station. That's where this thing is cool, when traveling since I don't actually live in Key West. This device is no bigger than a beer can, in fact about as heavy as a full beer can, also an interesting analogy, maybe there's a reason for that. Regardless, Bluetooth works flawlessly with my Motorola Xoom tablet and certainly sounds better than the tablet speakers on the back.

Sounds great, iPhone connects smoothly

My morning doesn't start without Morning Edition, but hotel radios never work. Was looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker for wireless applications. Planned to buy Solemate or Jambox so I went to Best Buy. I listened to Flip on the seller's recommendation. It sounded better than the others, felt a little more solid, and cost a lot less. Would have bought locally but they were so popular they couldn't be kept in stock or even ordered online. . Now I had to find it. For both voice and music, it

Best Value Small Bluetooth Speaker

I was looking for a compact travel Bluetooth speaker. I was on a budget of around $100 and there is a lot to choose from in this price range. After some research I settled on JBL Flip, Soundfreaq SFQ-4 and Logitech UE Mini Boombox. They're all great, but each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Which is better depends on your priorities. Flip is an amazing little speaker. It has slightly better, more detailed highs than the Soundfreaq and tight, punchy bass that's very impressive for its…

Finally! JBL speaker that works via Bluetooth.

I was looking for a portable speaker to connect to my Mac devices (MBP and iPhone 5S). I had to send the first one back because the bluetooth didn't work, but the one that arrived yesterday (from a different manufacturer) paired with my iOS device with no problems. Enough sound to fill multiple rooms (open floor plan). Well to be honest it took me several attempts to connect the speaker to my MBP. I had to read troubleshooting tips on multiple pages. I think the problem lies in the coupling…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

My friend wanted a portable sound system that could play her iPod wirelessly, but didn't want anything bulky. I have an Altec-Lansing (subsidiary of JBL) IM7 that I've had for years and it sounds great, but it's out of production and too big for its needs. The JBL Flip looked spot on, and some quick searches online turned up very positive reviews. The device works as advertised. Fifteen seconds after turning it on, my friend was playing her tunes through the device via Bluetooth. The sound…
