Great camera for those who know how to take pictures!

Bought for my daughter who actually uses 35mm film, can develop film and has probably taken over 1000 selfies with her phone! She loves the camera! Personally, I have a camera that does all the work for me and can cut off heads, miss completely, etc.! Since it's known to damage cameras, phones, etc., we bought a guarantee for it. Finally, she had a problem with the blurring of her photos! When this happened I had no idea where the documents were. I went to Revain.com, opened the purchaseโ€ฆ

Just right for dSLR beginners!

This is our first DSLR so I think we are Nikon's target audience for this product. Friends and family have other (more expensive) Nikon DSLRs and we've always been impressed with everything from the image quality and ease of use to the physical aspects of the body design and build quality. When we entered the DSLR market, I was open to all high-end models and looked for one that met our minimum requirements. The D3000 met and exceeded our needs, and many of them we didn't know what to look for.

Excellent quality D3K for DSLR

Having used the Nikon D3000 for a month and over 500 shots, I can say that it is worth every penny of its price ($500 on 04/12/09). ).one. Easy to use.2. The controls are well thought out 3. AF lens kit is fast and quiet.4. The size is reasonable for small hands (mine).5. Ability to use Nikon lenses with F-mount (autofocus or not). While there is an 'oops' moment from time to time, bugs are easy to fix and, of course, being digital, bugs are removed free of charge. What can not be said aboutโ€ฆ

Great start for DSLR

I'm a typical parent who photographs school plays, vacations, amusement park trips, birthdays, sleepovers, family reunions, children playing, etc. and I wanted DSLR photo quality. I originally bought the Canon G10 which was the best in the range when I bought it. I paid almost the same as for my D3000 back then. At the time I figured that for the price I paid I was getting point-and-shoot DSLR quality with the G10. While I still love my G10 as a travel camera, it's still just point-and-shootโ€ฆ

The perfect camera for busy, unenthusiastic parents

My wife and I are tired of missing out on those precious moments when trying to get two young children to be cute smile and look at the camera at the same time or capture that fleeting moment of joy. So we gave up the "beautiful point and shoot" idea and bought an actual camera. We leave it on full auto 99% of the time and the photos look amazing compared to your last shoot. We get an instant trigger response and the colors also look very good indoors at night with a flash (a bit dull, tinyโ€ฆ

Enough new features to make it worth buying instead of the D40

I'm comparing this to the Canon Rebel XS as I've been playing with the XS a lot lately and also because they share the same target market represent (digital entry-level DSLRs). ). Pros: * Less soft shutter release * Nice roughness on the mode dial * Great rough texture all over the body for a comfortable grip * Has more buttons on the left than the Canon, the latter being more right-handed * Larger, 3-inch LCD screen* More AF points* Quieter AF* You can instantly start zooming and playback from

  • Great price
Cons
  • Grim hardware

Non-technical review - this is a great camera!

BLACKED out to say I've decided to take a 3 week trip abroad. My camera was a superstar! I couldn't be happier. People, strangers, kept asking to see it. The pictures turned out great. The cruise ship officer asked if I needed it to "set up". I didn't, but I let him take a closer look at what he wanted. I was amazed at how interested people were. When I went back and put my photos online for friends and family, a great photographer asked me if he could use some of my photos because his photosโ€ฆ
