The previous owner of our RV replaced the hand shower with a home model that works great but doesn't shut off. This valve is mounted on the manual end and works great. Installation took about 5 minutes with one key. If that's what you need, look no further.

I've been installing plumbing for years, but this leaked from the start. I used teflon tape, changed the washer, tried to tighten it and not that tight but ended up throwing it away. The reason I went with this one was because it was more expensive and didn't want cheap alloy. So much for that train of thought.

We're using this in our house shower until we can fix the knobs as they force us to have a steady stream of hot water (enough to keep the mirrors from fogging up! ). It was a good decision! Pros: completely shuts off the flow of water. Cons: significantly reduced pressure. Overall very satisfied. Looks and works as advertised.

Pros: Well designed and solid construction, easy to use slide adjustment to control water flow; I like the designed jet stream in off mode so I don't accidentally turn off the water pressure; worth the price. Cons: The included teflon tape was very thin, tight, and poorly wound, making it unusable - luckily I had my own teflon tape.

You can feel the quality of this valve when you take it out of the box. Inside, made of expensive plastic, you can feel the smooth brass inner mechanism. This valve should last for years. It opens wide and closes fully at full pressure, allowing for gradual adjustment of flow in between. I was very pleased to see that the finish matched my Kohler lights almost perfectly! Definitely recommend.

Overall a good product. The valve works smoothly, regulates the water pressure. Comes with teflon tape for installation. I'm only giving one star because the color is a bit deceptive. Although the description says it is brass, the image appears fairly black with a subtle brass showing through. However, it looks very "worn" or industrial when it arrives, with lots of brushed brass texture showing through. Since this is such a small part I'm not overly concerned, but just FYI.

Since we have an on demand water heater, the normal pause button on the shower was not an option as every time the hot water flow stops the heater turns off and the flow turns back on, the cold water supply appears until the water heater starts heating water again. This control allows us to reduce the flow to 0.5 GPM, the minimum required to keep the heater on, eliminating the cold water surge that would occur if the flow were stopped entirely.
