Description of πŸ” Vortex Optics Solo R/T 8x36 Monocular: Improved SEO-Friendly Product Title

The Solo Recon Tactical Monocular with 8x magnification and a 36mm objective lens is a great choice for observation and range estimation in a lightweight and compact package. Fully multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coatings, the Solo R/T provides excellent light gathering capability in low light situations. The flared eyecup blocks extraneous light and folds down for use with glasses. A large focus wheel and the smaller reticle focus allow the user to properly focus the image and reticle to their eye for optimal target milling capability. The Solo R/T comes complete with a utility clip which attaches easily to a vest or belt for quick access in the field. Textured rubber armor provides added grip and durability. O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, the monocular brings waterproof and fogproof performance.

Thing is damn cool

Wow. This little thing is fucking awesome. Super bright and clear compact perfect mil scale reticle that has a number marked every 5 mil for easy reading and even includes 4 quick reference silhouettes to quickly identify human sized silhouettes at 300, 400, 500 and 600 yards. EXCELLENT for the money. Worth every penny. Would definitely buy again if I lost this or something.

  • Well built

Not very good for camera and photo

I have been using 10x Vortex Solo for several years and have no complaints. I wanted a second one for my shooting bag so figured the RT model would fit. not as much. The setup is similar to my solo, but the focus on the RT is terrible, it's very stiff and you can hear the tubes rubbing against each other. It's so bad that I'm wondering if it's coincidence that I got a bad block. I sent it back to Revane. Maybe I'll get another solo.

Transparent, durable, easy to carry.

What I just didn't experience, (to clarify other reviews I read before I bought it. - didn't fall apart.? - wasn't weak to adjust. The picture is clear, the reticle is clear. It doesn't have a lens cap, but I carry it in a frame bag that has all sorts of nasty things in it, and I haven't had any problems with lens damage. I took off the clip and I like it better that way.I can see that anyone who bought this in their golden years to use golfing or bird watching etc. the adjustment knobs could…

I hope this will give me a coach bag one day

My husband and I went to our sons football game at school. Another father used one of these scopes to see players on the field. My husband saw this great thing and seemed to have a vision that he would have it and talked about how great it would be to look at things when he was in the forest. I understand. I see a Coach purse on another mom's arm and dream of spending $800 and buying one for myself. I wonder if she bought it? Was it a gift? is this real? Maybe she only has 1 child? Did she…

Update: broke into a few pieces for no apparent reason.

at long distances is not super clear. But it gets five stars for its value. At $100, this is a great price, especially with the MRAD net included. The hit was made on pure steel at distances of up to 900 meters. Much better than the naked eye. WILL NOT replace decent binoculars but then again this is a scope you can take anywhere while on the move where a regular spotting scope will not. : After I took it out of the bag at practice yesterday, all sorts of parts fell out of the bag onto the…

Great product but takes practice.

We've all used binoculars, but a monocular is another matter entirely. They offer some disadvantages and advantages that you won't find in their bigger siblings. Monoculars tend to be cheaper at relatively the same level of technology because you don't have to worry about two sets of optics. They are lighter and much smaller than binoculars, meaning they are easier to store and carry. Enter Vortex! I discovered this item after using some of their products in shooting sports. Vortex makes VERY…
